Users within hubs can be assigned Global Contents roles and are responsible for activities related to global asset publishing, library creation, manage assets, and so on. Site admin and Super admin holds the authority to assign users to roles.


Create and Manage Global Contents Role

Follow the below steps to create Global Contents Role,


  1. Select Global Content > Users and click on the Create button to create global content role

  1. Enter the Role name, select the required permissions to be given and click on the Create Role button to complete the process

  1. Users can view all the global contents roles created under the Users module and Click on the ellipsis icon from the respective role to work with the following options,

    1. Details - Click on Details to view and edit the role permissions  
    2. Duplicate - Click on Duplicate to replicate the permissions with a new role name
    3. Delete - Click on Delete to delete the role
    4. Reset - Click on Reset to revert the permissions back to default which shows only the 'View Assets' permission

Assign and Manage Global Contents Users

Follow the below steps to assign users to Global content roles,


  1. Choose a specific Role or All Roles from the available list and click on the Assign button to assign users with Global content role

  1. Choose the role from the drop-down if All Roles is chosen from the role list, select the desired users and click on the Assign button

  1. Users can locate roles using the search bar under the Roles List, and on the Manage Role page, they can find the corresponding users for the selected role

Viewing Global Content Users

  1. To delete the global content users from the respective roles by two ways. Under Users module,
    1. Select All roles and click on the Remove Users, choose the users to remove and click on Remove
    2. Select a specific role from the available list of roles, click on Remove Users, choose the users to remove and click on Remove

View Assets

  • This is the basic permission to create a role. Without view permission, a role cannot be created
  • With this permission, users gain access to the Global Content Menu and its related tabs including Libraries, Categories, and Others
  • Additionally, users can view the Asset Overview page featuring an Asset in the Mini Viewer along with its tabs like Overview, Attachment, Libraries, and History

Manage Assets

  • With this permission, users can move, copy, download, and unmap assets from the libraries
  • User can delete the created libraries

Publish Assets to Global Content

  • With this permission, users can publish assets in the Global Content from the Revit application using the Enginero plugin

Assign/Remove Library

  • With this permission, users can assign or remove libraries from the asset under the Libraries tab on the Asset Overview page

Edit Assets in Revit

  • With this permission, users can edit assets in the Revit Application that have been published in the Global Content

Create Library

  • With this permission, users can create libraries within the Libraries tab

Load Assets in Revit

  • With this permission, users can load assets in the Revit application from the Global Content using the Enginero Plugin
