RFI stands for Request for Information, it is used to obtain information when there are insufficient details in the project models. The following types of RFIs can be created within the project,


  • Standalone RFI - General/Common queries faced within the project that are not connected to any module-based RFI
  • Element based RFI - RFI related to the model elements
  • Property based RFI - RFI related to the properties of model elements
  • 2D Viewer based RFI - RFI related to the drawing
  • Elevate as RFI from Issue - Elevated as RFI from created Issue
  • Elevate as Issue from 3D Markup - Elevated as RFI from created 3D markup
