Workspaces are individual repositories for users, enabling them to store PDM files published from their respective native software. Users should create these workspaces in advance before publishing files into Enginero PDM


Creating a Workspace

Follow the below steps to create a Workspace,


  1. Select Projects from the side navigation bar and choose the desired Project to create workspace

  1. Select Workspace module and click on the Create button (on Top Right) to create a new workspace

  1. Enter the required type name with a short description. To make the workspace default, click on the 'Set as Default Workspace' checkbox and click on the Create button to complete the process

  1. Click on the Edit button corresponding to the workspace to edit the workspace details

  1. Through the Search bar, users can locate a desired workspace
  2. To delete a workspace, click on the Delete button corresponding to the respective workspace

Notes:

  • Users with the permission of accessing PDM models can create and manage workspaces
  • Once the workspace is set to Default, it becomes non-deletable
  • Files from the native software will be added to PDM only through the workspace of users who publish. Therefore, users must create a workspace before proceeding with the upload
  • Workspaces can only be accessed by the users who create them, and there is no limit to creating workspaces
